The Tropical Whitefly IPM Project has been commisioned by the editors of the Bemisia Newsletter, Dr. Walker Jones and Dr. Dan Gerling, to hold in trust 8 on-line editions of their newsletter, published from 1990 to 2000.

The Tropical Whitefly IPM Project will not produce any further editions of it, but we believe that is extremely important to preserve this content for future researchers, now that the editors decide to stop publishing it. The Project's Coordination Office has edited the newsletters style to fit the design and standards of our website, but all content remains the same. Old e-mail and postal addresses, not active URLs (website addresses) and other contact information which the Tropical Whitefly IPM Project Coordination Office found not accurate by April 2002 was removed in order to avoid confusion.
